Vachu Chilakamarri's vision is highly abstract.  She works with oils to give the immediacy of mark making or a gesture with confidence and speed.  "I create my paintings from dreams and from my poetry."

Her method is intuitive, energetic, evocative and emotional.  "I love color and I express the thrill it gives me and also experiment with it." 

I choose my themes from imagination, deliberation and also from research of material that interests me.  I continue to work from the idea that exists in the nature and blend it with intuition to work in an abstract manner.

In my work, I use content as suggestion with color as provocation.
